How To Maintain Artificial Leather

1. Too high temperature will change the appearance of artificial leather and stick to each other. It should not be placed near the stove, nor should it be placed next to the radiator, and should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

2. Do not place furniture in a room with too low temperature. If the temperature is too low or the cold air blows directly for a long time, the artificial leather will be frozen, cracked and hardened.

3. Do not place furniture in a space with high humidity. Excessive humidity causes the hydrolysis of synthetic leather to occur and develop, resulting in damage to the surface film and shortening the service life. Therefore, rooms like toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. are not suitable

4. When wiping artificial leather, do not use a wet towel or damp cloth, it is generally better to wipe it with a dry cloth.

5. Synthetic leather is made of nylon, polyester, polypropylene and other synthetic fibers through netting, acupuncture, bonding, plastic coating and other processes, which not only has good wear resistance and good mechanical strength but also elasticity, and is equally soft at room temperature and low temperature. Since it is made of synthetic materials, it is not afraid of insects, is not easy to mold, does not need to rub oil, and has good water resistance on the surface. However, synthetic leather is not resistant to high temperatures and chemical attacks.

6. When wearing synthetic leather clothing, be careful not to rub or collide with hard and rough objects, so as not to damage the surface coating film. The synthetic leather coating film is thin and should not be baked near the stove or heater to prevent the leather surface from being damaged, and it should not be contaminated with corrosive chemicals such as acids and alkalis. When washing, do not soak in hot water, because hot water will damage the fiber tissue of the base cloth. It can not be washed with gasoline, generally with a soft cloth dipped in soapy water, and then washed with warm water, after washing, hang in a shaded and ventilated place to dry, and must not be exposed to the sun. After drying, it should be placed in a dry and cool place, not folded, and not pressed with heavy objects.
